Mar 11, 2021

Cannabis concentrates sales grew 40% last year, signaling a continuance in the industry’s growth in the United States. As the concentrate market continues to expand, and mature in the U.S., the usage of these plant extracts is expected to be the next phase of adoption by consumers. Sales of marijuana concentrates such as crystalline, wax and shatter, was nearly $800 million in 2020. Globally it is estimated that sales are $1.8 billion annually.

Mechanically or chemically retrieved from the plant, concentrates are the more potent compounds left over after the less desirable plant material is removed. These compounds are found in a variety of textures and can be used in many different ways by consumers.
