Mixed-light cultivation greenhouses in Carpinteria, CA, approved for cannabis production

Commissioners recently voted to approve changes to existing greenhouses, which facilitate the legalization of the structures for cannabis cultivation. The improvements include raising the height of the greenhouses to 22 feet, installing carbon scrubbers, and demolishing outdated existing structures.


The entire cannabis operation is contained in 9.68 acres and includes an area for processing and shipping. The two greenhouses utilize mixed-light cultivation, where greenhouses or similar structures use a combination of natural and supplemental artificial lighting.
